I picked this in Feb as soon as I landed here I was so eager to try out something or say my second purchase from Chanel first being CHANEL Vert Khaki eyeshadow , and I got nice offer with this as they were giving 500/- INR gift card on purchase of 3500/- , nice it was and I indulged myself with 2 luxuries this and CHANEL Rouge allure Laque Phoenix
SATIN is beautiful lovely rosy red color with soft golden sheen , you can say its PERFECT everyday color which is going to make your dull face a nice LIFT but you think am gonna use it Everyday ?? Its very safe bet for the gals who are scared of Loud red color and are starting their stint in Red Lippi’s World .. try this color and you will love the soft rosy red color which is easy to carry without any fear , comes in sexy sleek black case with Classic CHANEL Logo in Gold … Awesome to Show off in public right ?? I never had a chance but I can relate to that feeling and may be will try when I pick my Second Rouge coco
Its not at all satiny ( as the name says Satin) and has bit of frost in it , Pigmentation is awesome and you need only one swipe to give full coverage , lipstick stays good 4 hrs on me and leave nice tint to lips , It feels so light weight and hugs lips wonderfully , the lipstick is not at all drying and feels very moisturizing , although not one of the BEST Picks but okay I have Chanel Rouge coco and that’s the best part or you can say I console my self with this ….
I had actually gone to pick Chanel rouge Coco # 5 , got a sample of that on my first purchase and love it to bits but it was out of stock so I had to settle for this and that was the first time I realized my homework was not done properly … but then again … I will have plenty of occasions to pick something from CHANEL isn’t it ?
This is not the first time I am sporting this color and every time I had this some of you had asked me and even complimented so guess it looks Okay on me although I wanted or say I was expecting something more from the shade but .. Gosh so many Buts with this lipstick isn’t it ?
And see its completely luck , I picked MUFE # 32 lipstick without even swatching and it turned perfect pink for me .. okay enough of negative points …
Chanel Rouge coco comes in Huge array of shades and with different finishes so you are likely to get the color of your choice , the lipstick is not at all inexpensive bet from the brand but yeahh Quality is awesome which you wouldn’t find in any Luxury Brand .. so its high time go and indulge yourself , if not this may be some other shade
And here is me wearing the lipstick , I have MAC’s NW 35 Select Cover up concealer and Clinique Super Balanced Foundation in # 6 Linen on my Face
I am wearing Lakme’s Fantasy Collection pencil in Astrel Blue on my eyes and its bleeding horribly … I wonder you will surely see a nice review for this but for me its not working as eyeliner and it might suit you or OTHERS but so far am not at all happy

The lippy loks very diff..It certainly aint bad, but the only way I can describe it is as a very muted bright color. As u said, its perfect for those starting their ‘Red’ shade journey…it seems to be a very safe shade no doubt..
I have so many must-have shades, for so many diff reasons..
I haven’t found a dupe for it yet (If u do know of a similar shade, pls do lemme know)
1) MAC lipglass in Pretty Pattern is one..but unfortunately it was a limited edition as part of the ColorCraft collection
2)Also, I love Lakme’s Aquashine gloss in Orchid..its an amazing purple plum shade..I think everyone shud have it
3)Mac Cosmo – This is one of my all time favs..It looks so pretty and doesnt dry out my lips..
These are my 3 highest rated lipsticks..Rimmel Lipglosses are also amazing coz of its non-sticky texture, but the staying power leaves alot to be desired

My absolute favorite is Revlons Coco Sheer lipstick. Its a nice orangy brown. Works very well with my pigmented lips and makes me look instantly fairer and glowy. Fades away in a couple of hours leaving a beautiful tint.

And Rashmi, I don’t think that colour looks too bad on you. It’s not fantastic, but not too bad either. I always feel terrible if I’d paid good money for something and didn’t suit me, perhaps you can mix this us with a gloss? I have the Extrait gloss in Exces – it’s a beautiful red.
Too bad about Lakme’s pencil, but it has given me an idea – why don’t you do an annual list of great brands or products. If a brand has gone higher or lower in your opinion, or if some new product has taken the place of an old favourite, we can all benefit from the information. What say?

Congratulations on the convocation Rashmi…loved the lip color…so now I must say OMG CHANEL…am green with envy ….:)) My favourite lippies come from elf essentials.I love the texture and the shades Posh (Pinky red),Voodoo ( muted pink), Fantasy ( lovely beige/brown),Gypsy ( fuschia pink ).The finish these give is something I love ..smooth…and like u put it the lipstick just hugs your lips…:)

That lippie does look nice in the tube, but when swatched the browns are very prominent.. I have a lippie like this, when I use that I generally use a rosy blush to offset the browns…
Fav lipstick, hmm, I guess I reach for Faces – Mulberry a lot these days.. but otherwise it is revlon colorburst
