LUSH Mask of Magnaminty – Review

Deep cleansing, minty face and back pack. Do you ever feel so grubby you think you’ll never get clean again? After an overnight flight, a marathon in a rabbit suit or a walk along the Marylebone Road during rush hour, do you feel a deep need to be scrubbed clean? Here’s a cleansing mask to do exactly that, with china clay and bentonite gel to suck the dirt out of your pores, ground aduki beans and evening primrose seeds to exfoliate away your mucky, surface skin cells and loads of peppermint oil to make you feel so clean, fresh and minty that you’ll forget you were ever grubby.

Size – 315 gms , Price – 900/- INR , this is the most inexpensive mask they have to offer although this is listed  as cleanser on their site .

This was my second purchase and third product from LUSH after my stint with the brand long time back and not to mention after a big disappointment however its not the case anymore as am loving all 3 products but initial thought were , why I wasted my money ?? So, After convincing myself hard I though of buying their FRESH FACE MASK , as its their much hyped skin care stuff I zeroed on “MASK of Magnaminty” , I have combination to oily skin and have read reviews for the same and even few you tuber also mentioned .

I purchased this when my parents were here and mom was surprised to see a 900 Rs mask and was completely confused as to what happened to me ??  To end all her curiousness I asked her to try this and even she loved the results , despite having dry skin she loved how the mask exfoliated .

There wasn’t  any prominent smell when I tried the mask in store  , as they are displayed open that might be the reason but when I opened the tub after coming home , the first thing that strike my mind was Coco mint chocolate I had in U.K. , the name is slipping from my mind but I think there might be some connection as the brand is from U.K. and the chocolate I had  was one of the very famous ones , might be or may be my wild imagination . Or lets put in simple words the mask smells like chocolate mint thing .

Consistency is really thick and the texture is coarse as compared to “Crash course in skin care” ( my first ever fresh face mask ) which is like butter , chilled cheese spread is better word , it has abuki beans and that’s the reason its very coarse but applies smoothly , I apply medium to thick layer and when it dries after 15 min I just wet my face a little and then using soft circular motions wash it off , it does scrubs away all the dead skin without being harsh and leaves behind SUPER SOFT skin with nice cooling sensation , I have seen a major difference in my skin TEXTURE after using this mask and all thanks to oils present in this . I feel super clean and clear and my skin is much more softer these days .

I must add here the beads are very softer and doesn’t irritate my skin and exfoliates very well , taking care of all dead cells and black heads , despite being deep cleansing mask it never makes my skin dry and that’s why I would recommend this to anybody having blackheads prone skin , this is going to be your HG mask for sure .

Taking this off is little bit of task as the small granules struck to hair line and thus you need to wash of every corners of your face evenly otherwise it will look all messed up .

Expiry date for the mask is 3 months and I store the bigger tub in refrigerator ( although not required ) and a little mask  in a small tub in my restroom so that if by chance I use wet hands the mask is not spoiled , its always safe to store their product in 2 batches … this empty small tub I asked the SA to give me otherwise earlier I use to keep my products in tupperware tight seal containers .

If you are aware of popular “Queen Helene Mint Julep Face MASK” this is higher end version of that and I have used both but would say this is much more better then that one , availability factor , cleaning and after using effects , in all aspects this would be my pick in terms of CLAY based mask .

I have only one word for this mask “AWESOME” , this is going to be my staple mask for ever and especially for summers as it gives nice minty cooling sensation and never makes my skin tight and it does look fresh for DAYS , seriously days.

A cleanser , scrubber and mask its all in one product for me which is doing wonders for my combination to oily skin , prone to blackheads and dullness , its taking care of it and am happy is what all I can say .

If you wanna try only face mask from LUSH go for this and you would end up collecting their whole range .
