A thing to share: Indyabeauty completed one year today …God!! Am so happy and hope you guys will continue to shower your love as always
This is not very new in the market and as I was going through some pics in my folders saw this and thought would share my experience with you guys about the liner / kajal .
First let’s talk about the promo pic on their site … GOD!! Are you really expecting this liner to give same effect?? Is it a good idea to spend whooping amount on promotions and ignoring the quality of the product you are offering?? I remember I saw this HUGE Billboard across city and one near my house on 100 feet Road … I was like??
I still remember Maybelline was a complete rage few years back when it was launched in India and the prices were little higher then LAKME which was and still ruling Indian cosmetic industry , I remember I had picked a gloss or two but they were not easy on pocket I guess .
Never purchased much from Indian market but what all I tried in USA , they were pretty much okay according to mass brand and hence when I saw this kajal I couldn’t control and moreover spending 150/- INR on liner wasn’t much an issue …
The company had claimed lot of things and the amount was exceptionally reasonable for all the promises. The kajal in a twist up pencil was a welcome change from regular pencils or say chubby kajal pencils and this was one thing I really liked in this and moreover it is two way twists up , unlike CHAMBOR, so if you are interested in measuring the length you can easily do that.
The color as they claimed is Blackest Black … WHAT?? One big false claim , it is black but not THE BLACK and if you consider mass brands , for me Chambor and Bourjois always comes in blackest black category although they are heavy on pocket but gives amazing color every time.
This has nice creamy texture which doesn’t tug my eyes but the staying power is not that great and it starts to fade after few hrs , although it doesn’t runs just fades and I liked it that it doesn’t ruins my under eye area .
I have sensitive eyes and they get red very easily and that’s the biggest problem I face when I use new liners but with this I never had any problem and I consider this WOW factor for fussy eyes , Vitamin E playing its role , what say ??
With not so great pigmentation but creamy texture this definitely is not a BIG HIT with me and I hardly use this but might keep it for travel purpose where I don’t like to carry my UD’s or MAC this might serve the purpose well.
As I have 10 other kajal/kohl’s in my stash I really don’t think I should have spent on this , It’s not that amazing and I so wish I should have picked 5 kinder joy (30 X 5 = 150) for Anmol rather than this… what say??
Have you tried this liner from Maybelline and did you felt the same or your side of story is different??

And guess wot?? I just finished writing a review in this right now and then opened indyabeauty and saw this..I was like wow! ur a mind reader Rash!! Same same!! heehee
My experience is sorta similar but only in the sense that I too wish i hadn’t splurged on this..I cant use this on my waterline..It simply doesn’t show up well and fades so soon….might as well not use it…But i useit as a liner now and its nice that way..I actually do find it as the blackest black when used on my lid…Wish it orked as a kajal on me too..

and wow good to know your exp. considering this is kajal i used this only on waterline as i dont like the thick tip on upper lash line
but it never irritated my eyes honey
very true…i dint expect much out of it…but i was kinda hoping it wud live up to its claims..especially since the name suggests that they r trying to include it in the range with colossal volume mascara…i luv that mascara and thought maybe this wud also be similar and work well…lekin it doesnt even show up on my waterline

As for Maybelline Colossal – in this range i love the non waterproof mascara. As for the kajal – never tried it – even i have super sensitive eyes so am wary of what i use – esp for my waterline i only apply MAC kohl.

Maybelline colossal kajal has been advertized so well and frankly it was so tempting but I’m glad I did not pick it up!! I like the blackest black of Chambor Dazzle and MAC Smolder. Even Faces kajal is quite good!

I have this kajal .it doesnt stay for long and pigmentation is not good ..maybelline should have spend money in maing it better rather than advertising it so much ..huh !!!

At the moment am so wowed by maybelline gel eyeliner that didn’t try out the colossal kajal, also spoke to the SA n since am regular customer she told me it wasen’t worth the buy. Thank you for the review, am glad I didn’t go for it

a german brand called Ikonic makes amazing gel based black pencils just for Rs.180 or something and are available at Beauty Centre. Let me know n if I go that side I will send u one to try. I am sure u will go mad seeing the texture and its ultra long lasting power………..

Hi Rashmi, I agree with you. this is no where near the blackest black. I am very much disappointed with it since I first used Lakme Kohl Ultimate which I consider as the benchmark to compare other kajals. Do you have anything better than Kohl Ultimate to suggest since I want smudge proof, water proof, long lasting and blacker than blackest kohl?
