MAC Romp Eyeshadow – Review , Pics and Swatches

I use to keep myself away from frosty finishes but ever since I saw some BEAUTIFUL colors from upcoming MAC Surf Baby collection which consists of awesome Teal and Gold I thought it’s not that bad and I should give one more shot to this finish. I am very finicky about my eye shadow finishes and my MUA at MAC laughs at me for this but then … it’s good to be wise buyer rather than impulse buyer.

So while going through some online swatches for frost eyeshadow , I saw this color and read numerous reviews and then Finally picked this . I tell you I had gone for Cream blend release but my friend strictly warned me “if you want to invite acne buy them” … I do trust my friend and chucked that ….. Long Story short, I picked the eye shadow I was eying and which was on my wish list for long time … ROMP.

Romp is described as Chocolate laced with gold (Frost), with such a beautiful and tempting name who wouldn’t want to buy this color isn’t it?? With incredibly smooth texture and awesome pigmentation I tell you , your heart will melt away if you swatch this in store and I bet you one thing, you will find that this color is so very awesome on its own and can be paired with endless color combinations.

I love this color to pair with my blue , greens , gold’s and blacks , this is warm brown and looks beautiful with any hue and moreover the shimmer in this is so very awesome and not at chunky .  ROMP being a medium – golden brown color looks so classy when paired with simple black liner and defined crease.

Applied Romp in the crease with Soft Brown all over the lids , Rice paper to highlight , finished with MAC Black track liner

Applied MAC Painterly Paint Pot all over the lids , ROMP all over the lids , Benefit Getaway in the crease and MAC Dark diversion on upper lash line , finished with Revlon smokey crayon on lower lash line

Frost Eye shadows by  MAC – MAC Frost eye shadows are smooth and loaded with fine shimmer , they are not at all chunky and easy to apply and blend , not much intense in pigmentation , but can be layered to get good color payoff but as you build the color the shimmer also build up . They are so creamy in texture that you would hardly ever go back to pick the color and one stroke is good to get the color on eye lids.

White Frost  , Phloof , Nylon , Naked Lunch , Ricepaper , Pink Freez , Swish

I have quite a few shades from their frost range (marked blue) and already eying some awesome colors like Nylon, Vex, Nocturnelle.

I hope you find the review helpful and will defiantly swatch the color in store and no wonder would end up buying it …. What say??

What a lovely warm toffee color! Its such a wonderful purchase. I do believe in picking products with caution and this is a very good color. At least you would use a lot of it!

Liked the Dark Diversion fluidline too……..a bit of contrast is good with such eyeshadows..
