MAC Gem of Roses was part of Semi Precious collection; it is LE shade and was not available for purchases in abundance. This is the regular scene in Indian Market so I guess there is no point in discussing that.
MAC GOR is described as Strawberry Pink , it is soft nude warm rosy pink color and has Lustre finish , which makes it sheer to build able but again lack of moisture makes it little hard to work in dry and humid climate . I feel my lips are chapped and this is the only reason I am avoiding Lustre finish a lot these days.
It stays hardly 2 hrs on my lips and then leave very light tint on my lips. I feel my lips are little dried up after using this and hence I need to give them a good dose of lip balm. Comes with classic vanilla scent there is actually nothing new to this except for the wonderful inviting name.
If I have to pick only one color from this range this would defiantly be not the one, I find it little hard to carry for my coloring but again as I guess for lighter skin gals it would be wonderful choice. It is definitely no fuss shade and can be worn easily without thinking twice about eye makeup or cheeks color.

This is how it looks on my NC 41 skin tone , I have MAC NW 35 select cover up concealer and Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation in # 55 on my face
Do I recommend: It might be MLBB shade for some but sadly it doesn’t show up on my medium – dark skin tone. If you are little lighter then NC 35 you might love the shade but for me there is nothing exceptional apart from the name. The finish again is my least favorite and I am sure if I had swatched this in store I would have never bothered to buy this color for my skin tone.

Strange that it causes your lips to feel dry. Sorry to hear you didn’t like it. I don’t think this lipstick is purely for fairer women though as I’m NW43 and this works wonderfully well for me as a not-so-neutral pinkish lipstick. But then again I’m one of those people who believe that anybody can work anything – should not really matter on which colour spectrum you are.
