MAC Tendertone Lip Balm SPF12 Tread Gently

I was bowled over with the texture of these when I got a press sample and immediately picked one when it was released as it was completely new product for me , yeah we all are MAC virgins at some or the other point .
The other 2 colors released were : PURRING ( sheer tangerine with pearl ) and Hot ‘n’ Saucy ( Soft Cherry Red ) . As I was looking for shimmery version of these I picked HUSH HUSH and skipped the above 2 due to their plain finish and not so intense colors.
I have no qualms with the tendertones , they are really beautiful in pot and on lips as well adds a spark , I layer them over my matte lipstick to add a touch of shimmer without adding any color . If you are expecting any color then this is not for you , the base is almost sheer and the shimmer in it makes all the difference. I love how it adapts the lip color and doesn’t look odd even if you add a layer or two . It packs a good amount of shimmer and hence when you layer them over your bare lips or over lipstick it is prominent but not chunky .
On bare lips there is visible shimmer and sheen and the feel is super soft without the stickiness , it does make my lips soft and shimmer doesn’t run all over my lips when it wears off . I could feel my lips are moisturized for hrs even if it wears off but there is no healing property in these.
When I purchased this , I had one thing in my mind – I don’t need any thing which is like medicated lip balm , I was looking for a shimmery sheer non-sticky product which can give me enough glossiness whenever needed . If you are looking for “BALM” , actually BALM this isn’t for you , my soul purpose to buy this , was to add a bit of shimmer and sheen without stickiness , so it was right my alley in terms of that .
These are better options then gloss as the texture is like gel which sticks to lips and there is less stickiness as compared to glosses and it is balm with SPF 12 , they are Two-in-ONE Product and am sure once you try these in store you will definitely pick one or two .
It has SPF 12 which is added bonus , I am completely digging the strong fruity scent but not the pot packaging . Everything comes with pros and cons and so does this . If you have purchased best basics from MAC then do get this , it is not the first thing you should opt from MAC , and am sure you will agree with me .
TREAD GENTLY Tendertone ( soft lime green with yellow pearl) : There is no base color , the shimmer itself is stunning and adds a whole lot of difference. There is lemon green shimmer which is so unique and when applied on bare lips it gives that warmth with added bonus of soft lips .
MAC HUSH HUSH Tendertone (sheer gold with yellow gold pearl ) : There is no base color , the shimmer over powers in this and lends a nice glossy sheen to lips , it is beautiful over most of the lipstick which lacks life but when I apply this , there is beautiful golden bronzy shimmer which is very finally milled . Absolute delight in pan and lips as well .
No FOTD with these , but in pic below I have MAC TREAD GENTLY on my lips with MAC WATCH ME SIMMER Lipstick underneath :

Zara … do try these .. i loved the shimmery ones as i was looking for layering balms/glosses so skipped the colored ones as there wasnt enough intense color …
pls try over your fav. lippi like craving or verve
