MAC So Chaud Lipstick : Review

ORANGE is the only color which scares me and I did mentioned this few days back , still I picked this lipstick which is described as Intense Reddish Orange ( Matte finish ) after reading My Friends Post HERE   . Wanted this for a long time but Orange does scares me a bit and while I was doing some Back to MAC I asked MUA if it is available and luckily it was there .

So Chaud is Warm tone Orange with good red undertones …. leans more orange then a reddish orange , it is striking and beautiful at the same time , you don’t need to put extra effort for color like these , be it So Chaud , Morange or Lady Danger all colors works effortlessly with clean face and barely there eye makeup . It screams spring summer to me and is good option if you are going for a date with your friends in day time . It adds a spark to my face which is certainly not over the top .

When I wore this for the first time , I asked hubby N number of times about the color , but he was not able to find any fault … as much as he loves Reds and Hot Pinks on me he was totally admiring Orange Lips . I even used this without base and it was looking just fine , good base adds a radiance though .

With matte finish and excellent pigmentation it covers natural lip color in one swipe and holds true to its color for good 4 + hrs and leave a good tint on lips for another 2 hrs . I find this extremely creamy and not like other mattes which takes all the moisture from lips and need effort to glide on lips , a color like RUBY WOO .

If you are planning to go for ORANGE Lipstick shopping do give this a shot and am sure you will be pretty amazed to see the color and how it looks on our skin tone . I see this shade working across skin tones , you can use this as a stain or even in full force … it will never make you look pale … consider it another pretty shade and am sure you will be fine ( surprised ) with end results .

I highly recommend this shade for our skin tone …. it is made for tan and olive skin tone  , but I have read equally good reviews from fair skin tone gals for the color . It is universally flattering shade …

I used this as a stain over Cool Toned Lip Pencil H E R E .

I have swatched this side by side with MAC MORANGE Lipstick  , another great option for Orange Lipstick :

Left – So Chaud and Right – Morange

And this is how the color looks on my NC 40 skin tone :

I hope you find the review helpful ?? How do you find the color on me ??

Wow it’s looks quite muted on you, I tried this in store on my lips and was promptly blinded by the bright bold shade! I love so chaud and lady danger but haven’t been able to muster the courage to pull it off yet so I’m playing with other oranges right now-inglot 103 and colorbar obsessed orange. But I’m gonna snag so chaud soon 😉
