TEAL TEMPTATIONS is a series featuring the Best of TEALS from my favorite brands , ranging from eye liners and eyeshadow , the second product to be featured is – MAC STEAMY Eyeshadow .
STEAMY is described as Bluish – green with gold pearl in frost finish , when I thought MAC Shimmermoss is best ever teal from MAC , I tried this and am hooked . It is best ever teal eyeshadow and am so amused with the texture ever since I started using this .
STEAMY is bright cool toned blue green teal shade with stunning and subtle golden sheen to it the color will look even more stunning if you have Hazel or Green eyes . I am using it wholeheartedly and love the vividness of the color at the same time ease of use . If you are planning to pick a TEAL eyeshadow then I highly recommend this shade , it looks beautiful with almost everything , from Greens to Purples to Golds to Browns and even Blacks and Navy …. it is so versatile and easy to incorporate .
I am not going to review my TEAL PALETTE here , will picking only few shades which actually makes sense to spend the money for long terms use . This is something which can be worn with any age group , provided you are in mood to experiment . Don’t be shy and try this out …. A nice shade to use all over lids , smokey out with Grey and Black or else pair it with Purples and Greens to make a mermaid look . There are endless options with this colors as I said , needs to churn out the creativity which is not too hard if you are in love with colors .
I always maintain if you want to start with MAC Lipsticks try their Amplified finish as they will never disappoint you in terms of pigmentation , long staying texture and colors , and for eyeshadow start with Frost Finishes as they are densely pigmented and you will never get any bad experience in terms of color selection and texture , however some shades might need layering to show up on lids . Frosts are super smooth , blends easily , builds nicely and above all they have very fine shimmer and some even have duo chrome . You can use them on their own , they don’t look flat like Mattes and not like Velvet Finish which are little hard at times to blend . FROST FROST FROST when it comes to MAC Eyeshadow .
I have used the color H E R E and H E R E with different shades of Purple .
And this is how the color looks on my eyes with Nubile Paint Pot underneath:
It is not a look but a pic where I applied this all over my lids and some dark navy in crease …to give you idea about how the color looks
I tried using STEAMY in the crease with Bronze all over the lids but it didn’t go too well :
Here I used MAC STEAMY over MAC Blacktrack Fluidline and MAC Jealousy Wakes on outer corners :

This is a pretty teal although its not as bright and beautiful as Surf USA….i liked the silvery tone which makes it a nice cool color that cud be paired with a warm tone..

This is so lovely Rahsmi, I loved the combination here. I think this look can be done by using MAC pigment in Blue Brown also. Right? It looks really beautiful. Waiting for a smokey eye video
