Sitting on Internet for hours , browsing sites , favorite blogs , reading reviews , some comments on fellow bogs to know what is going on here and there ( which actually sucks ) … I was shaken to Read this Blog and to my surprise or say ignorance I never knew something like this ever existed . I am sure the blog I mentioned needs no introduction , it was my bad luck that I have not read it earlier .
I saw the name on one of the readers blog roll ( you know who you are ) and from past 2 days am reading this blog …and cant thank my stars or my situation which led me to read the blog .
I blog about the everyday life of an urban Indian homemaker and her reactions to what’s happening in the world around her. So I blog against violence and intolerance, and against our use of tradition, culture and religion to justify anything that common sense might refuse to accept; I write against gender bias, (a lot of this), and our biases against girl children even in educated families; against all stifling stereotypes, about my kids (teenage son and daughter), pets and family, my domestic helpers, my neighbors and friends, and animal rights and politics etc. And about my blogging experience : )
Blogging is cathartic for me. Injustice and cruelty bothers me. I feel there’s always something we can do. When we can do nothing else, we can create awareness.
It is always good to come out of your comfort zone ! Is it necessary to read beauty blogs every time , keep yourself up to date on whats new at - makeup front / cosmetic industry / new launches by brand ??
No, not at all and no where it is written or forced and with me some recent incidence left me speechless … I will not divulge more details , but glad I across this blog and I wanted to share this with you ….
And on top of that , I got to know so many “DECENT ” blog links from there …. do check that out !! I hope you enjoy reading it , if you haven’t already ?? It is my FRIENDSHIP DAY GIFT to you …

The non-beauty blog I read and like is “i caught a shooting star” (http://caughtafallingstar.blogspot.in/). My friend Kirthi who is a lawyer works in the UN and her writing is straight from the heart and deals with relevant issues.
