The latest crush and all because of lovely friend Dr.Neeraj … I picked this when we were window shopping in Mumbai from Lancôme boutique at Phoenix Market City, Kurla. Where I loved the collection the price tag was little disappointing but then he suggested me to try this on and didn’t wasted a minute further and asked SA to pack this for me.

PRUN ELIXIR is medium cool toned plumy purple shade with very fine silvery sheen which is hard to see from naked eyes, once you have the colour on lips you can notice that there is little bit of sheen and the gloss is not absolutely matte. It is my pick for stunning fall lips which are effortless and hardly needs extra care.

The texture of the gloss is very soft smooth and velvety, it is thick yet not at all sticky or gooey – a cross between a liquid lipstick and a gloss … very matte still creamy and moisturizing to feel. Once you apply you can see the glossiness but it fades to a matte stain and sits on lips for 4 – 5 hrs and then it fades to a stain which is noticeable. It doesn’t dry out my lips and I could feel the soft supple feel of gloss. They are very forgiving and you don’t need extra care before using it. It is very light weight and creamy and layers opaque and evenly in one single swipe. I wish they launched some more shades to work across skin tones, but here are only 3 brighter shades for fall. The gloss has the slant tip applicator which is perfect for filling the lips evenly.

I am NC 40 and it shows pretty well on my medium – dark skin tone , on lighter skin tone it may appear little too bright but not striking and on darker skin tone it will work wonderfully but you need to come out of your comfort zone . Makeups are so experimental thing and see you don’t lose 100000 of  bucks –  don’t be afraid of colours.
