This is the only blush which is being featured here in so many post for the past several months but I never got a chance to post a FOTD with this ; You can check a PREVIEW for this blush HERE with some more pictures . I was taking picture of lip colour and then decided to take a full face and then came this blush in action, the lips and blush both were looking; match made in heaven and here I am with quick review and FOTD.
This was my first cream blush from MAC and I was pretty much impressed with it, I still am! There are not many options in Indian market for cream blush, the best ones I could recall are from – Max Factor, INGLOT, Elizabeth Arden, MAC , YSL and CHANEL. MAC is the first choice for most of the consumers in terms of colour range, easy access and mid range price.
I am not fond of cream blush and hence there were zero expectations with this. Optimistic Orange is described as bright orange, true to its name the blush does looks scary bright orange in pan but on cheeks it transforms to very wearable shade of tangerine orange. The consistency is smooth and easy to blend out, it is very sheer and you do need to build it up. I especially find that on my skin tone it does needs a little bit of layering , which is a huge plus for a shade like this . I find this colour will work amazingly well on medium to dark skin tone and due to its buildable and blend able nature it can be Holy Grail blush for some.
I have oily skin and hence keep a same distance from cream products but this one feels almost like second skin and gave a hint of orangey coral flush without making me look greasy.
I get 7 – 8 hrs of wear with this blush and it fades very evenly , I may try a blush or two from MAC for this fall , cream blush are huge winner in this season as they just sinks in your skin and super impressed with the end results of this blush . I would like to mention it is CREMEBLEND Blush and not the traditional CREAM BLUSH from MAC.
And this is how the blush looks on my NC 40 skin tone :
I hope you liked the blush on me ?
