I am extremely sorry for MIA lately but can’t help with current situations and I guess there is no place for explanations here ,isn’t it ?? Let’s get to the point, a review from the MAC Semi Precious Collection. The collection consisted of 5 cremsheen glasses but this was not listed on their site or in the official press release.
MAC Subtropic Cremesheen Lipglass
MAC Subtropic Crèmesheen glass is mix of coral and hint of pink in it with very fine golden and coral shimmer in it. It is ideal color for warm skin tone however a little too light for medium – to dark skin tone. The color is perfect in terms of wear ability, a hint of coral on lips is all what you need isn’t it?? The pigmentation is good and this has semi – opaque finish .
The blush was part of MAC Semi Precious collection along with 2 other Limited Edition Blushes , Feeling Flush and Pressed Amber this one is little lighter as compared to its companions in the collection. Warmth of Coral is described as Mélange Coral, Peach.
Warmth of Coral Blush is more of Peach rather than Coral, there is just a hint of golden sheen to it making it a good dose of warmth and a perfect flush of color for lighter skin tone. On my NC 41 skin tone I have to layer this to make the color show on my skin, a lighter skin gal would love how beautiful this looks without being overly shimmery.
MAC Gem of Roses was part of Semi Precious collection; it is LE shade and was not available for purchases in abundance. This is the regular scene in Indian Market so I guess there is no point in discussing that.
MAC GOR is described as Strawberry Pink , it is soft nude warm rosy pink color and has Lustre finish , which makes it sheer to build able but again lack of moisture makes it little hard to work in dry and humid climate . I feel my lips are chapped and this is the only reason I am avoiding Lustre finish a lot these days.
As we were talking about pigments the other day , here is my all time favourite by MAC , its MAC ROSE GOLD Pigment which is a PRO Color , I am lucky enough to grab a one …. Paired Gold with Blue ( safest BET isn’t it ?? )
Here are step by Step pictures for the look I did using awesome color out there ….
I was trying hard to get MAC Paint pot in Artifact which is discontinued now . There isn’t any chance to get this as its out of stock everywhere , but then MUA at Koramangala MAC gave me a small sample of this and so I thought will try to do 2 – 3 looks with wonderful Plum Bronze color . MAC is launching a color like this in new LE collection so am little relieved ….
Paired Artifact with Browns and Plums , nothing super great about the look , its just another Plum Brown color but Artifact has made this little special.
And here is the final outcome , I paired pale lips with super shimmery plum brown eye look although Coral would have look equally beautiful …. IMO
Here is STEP by STEP tutorial for this look
